Just a few Post-Prom Party Ideas:
1.) Late-night/early-morning meal
All that dancing works up an appetite. Check around town to see what
restaurants offer late-night menus, or see if you can find a place that
offers breakfast during the wee hours of the morning so that everyone
can relax and chow down after getting all dressed up.
2.) Bowling
Play a few games to see which boy and girl competitors score the highest. Whoever wins can be informally “crowned” “Post-Prom King” and “Post-Prom Queen.”
3.) Karaoke
Dancing and singing go together like the dollar sign and Ke$ha—it’s
rare, if ever, that one is seen without the other.Rent a machine and let
your inner rock star out at home (as long as your family doesn’t mind,
of course).
4.) Movie Night
Maybe after all the excitement
you just want a few peaceful hours to sit and watch a few good movies
with your friends. Rent a few choice movies, buy some popcorn and sit
back and relax as you relish the end of your fun-filled evening. You may
even want to have a themed movie marathon—the sky’s the limit with
ideas ranging from more traditional themes like teen movies and
so-bad-they’re-good movies to more zany themes like non-musical movies
that involve big choreographed dances (Slumdog Millionaire, She’s All
That, 500 Days of Summer, etc.).
5.) Bonfire Party
If you
have an outdoor spot where you can start a fire (like a nearby beach or a
large yard), why not have a post-prom bonfire? Set up a table with some
beverages and condiments, place lawn chairs around the fire, and your
group can sit around, roast hotdogs and marshmallows and discuss how
you’d survive the oncoming zombie apocalypse. Or go over the highlights
of the prom—whichever suits you more.
With a little creativity, you and your friends can have as much fun after the prom as you did during the dance, if not more.
Think about who will be in your group and what everybody enjoys doing
and see if you can’t think of a great way to continue your special
evening. Good luck planning!
